My School website – waste of money, or valuable resource?

7 March 2014

The controversial Government website – My School is used to place rankings on schools in core competency areas based on the NAPLAN examinations. So is it a waste of money that puts unnecessary stress on children taking the exams as schools want to ensure their results are as high as possible for marketing purposes? Or, on the flip side, do we as parents have the right to know how our school compares, and which areas of teaching need to be improved on?

Your thoughts – should it stay or go?
